Can you put a dresser in the living room?

Dressers traditionally have a place in the bedroom, but there’s no reason why they can’t also go in the living room. Dressers provide ample storage space, which can be perfect for living room blankets, books, extra remotes and pet supplies.

They may also serve a dual purpose, replacing TV stands, buffets and even end tables. Dressers look great and may also add a cozy element to your living space.

How to store clothes without a dresser

Whilst a dresser works wonderfully for clothing storage, your clothing storage needs may be surplus to what a dresser can provide. Here are some other options to store your clothes:

-Shelves
-Hooks
-Decorative baskets
-Tallboy/lowboy
-Clothes racks
-Hanging rack
Wardrobe
-Display ladder
-Trundle bed

Some of these options may require the additional purchase of clothes hangers. For others, folding or rolling your clothes will be more appropriate.

Are dressers with mirrors out of style?

Just because your older relatives may have dressers with mirrors, doesn’t mean they’re out of style. In fact, dressers with mirrors can be a chic addition to any bedroom, even if they’re in a vintage style.

A modern dresser, however, may swap out the carved wood for smoother characteristics. Rather than decorative knobs, modern dressers may have curved metal handles. Whatever your style, there’s sure to be a dresser that both keeps up with style trends and works well in your space.
