Where should floor mirrors be placed?

How big should a floor mirror be?

Floor mirrors are often measured in height, but the necessary height of a mirror can vary depending on how you’ll be using it.

A mirror that’s placed on the floor and leaned up against the wall creates an angle that allows the reflection to reveal more height. This mirror can be slightly shorter than your height without cutting off your head in the reflection.

A floor mirror that’s secured to the wall creating a 90-degree angle with the floor will need to be at least the height of the tallest person in your home.

What is a floor mirror?

A floor mirror is characterised by being supported by the floor. This means that the floor is holding most of the weight of the mirror itself. These mirrors are usually around 180cm-200cm tall, allowing a person to see their full height in the reflection.
